Staying at this hilltop castle was a delightful experience. The beautifully furnished rooms with period furniture and tapestries were very clean and offered a comfortable bed. The service was exceptional, ensuring every detail was taken care of, from a welcome drink to a delicious dinner. The location within the castle walls and on the edge of the village was charming, overlooking the town, and offered a romantic atmosphere. However, the dining experience was a letdown with overpriced and below-par food.

My stay at the Parador was a mixed bag. The location was excellent, just a short walk to the pretty village, but some maintenance issues in the room were disappointing. The dining experience was great, up to Parador standard, and the service was pleasant overall.
Rooms

The room I stayed in was at the far end of the castle and was in need of some refreshing. There were maintenance issues like degraded grout and cracked tiles, but overall, it was fine.

7.6/10
The hotel offers spacious and well-furnished rooms with lovely views, although noise from revellers outside was a downside at times. The price was on the higher side compared to other Paradores. The service was top-notch with attentive and helpful staff. The location was superb, nestled in a historic castle town. The dining experience was impressive, although the timing of the restaurant opening and quality of breakfast could be improved.

The staff was helpful and on the ball, especially the cafeteria staff, catering to various requests.
Location

The location is superb, in a Castle in a historic town, with close proximity to the parador. However, dining options aside from the hotel restaurant are limited, and morning coffee and pastries were subpar.
Dining
7.0
Dining took place in an impressive banqueting hall with a great selection of dishes, but improvements are needed to maintain warmth and quality, especially in the morning offerings.
Facilities

The facilities were accommodating, with room for enhancement in warmth preservation and breakfast quality.

The hotel is located in a very large castle overlooking the town, offering a short walk to visit the historic center and cathedral, though there were disturbances late at night from revellers. The rooms are massive with little window-seats, nice, clean, and fairly quiet at night, at least outside of your room.

The hotel sits beautifully on a hilltop overlooking the courtyard, providing a charming and historic ambiance. The rooms offer stunning views over the rural land and gardens, although they are a bit small with limited windows. The dining experience was mixed, with some standout dishes but lacking variety in choices. The service, on the other hand, was impeccable, with every detail taken care of. The location is ideal for exploring the town and enjoying the historic surroundings.
